As well as supporting Lithium-ion battery packs, the VPOC™ (Virtual Power on Call) system also supports conventional valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) battery banks. VRLA batteries have an established manufacturing base and the lower price point assists in lessening capital expenditures.
The BK-1151 is an Extended Battery Module (EBM) with a 240VDC link voltage that is compatible with the VPOC™ system. The EBM extends the VPOC™ run-time up to 3.5 minutes at 10kW. The EBM is recharged by the VPOC™ when system AC power is active.
